Ashley from Agri Aware joined us last week for a Farm Safety Futures workshop. She spoke to every class about Farm Safety and the children completed fun activities on farm safety also. Each of the children got a certificate and a rubber as a reward for their participation. It was very enjoyable.

Food Dudes Week
Last week was Food Dudes Week in our school. This is where we got to taste some of the fruit and vegetables we have previously eaten through our Food Dudes programme, which we have participated in for many years. Here are the infants with some of the delicious fruit and vegetables we tasted this time.

Exhibition game in the Hyde
Well done to Whitehall’s representatives on the St. Barry’s u10 team that participated in exhibition games at half time of the minor Connacht final on Friday evening in Dr. Hyde Park. The boys played some excellent football in these games. It was a special occasion for them and it is something they will always remember.

The junior classes had great fun playing with chalk on the yard on Friday. One of the many joys of the dry weather!
Boys and Girls through to Gaelic football finals!
There was great excitement in school last Wednesday when our boys and girls Gaelic teams were successful in their semi finals. They will now play in the finals in June. The younger boys and girls welcomed home both teams after their victories. Huge congratulations to both teams. We are so proud of you!
