The school held an Ice Cream Day today to fundraise for Down Syndrome Ireland. It was a great success and everybody enjoyed the yummy ice cream! Everyone in Whitehall would like to thank Barry Moran, manager of Centra Tarmonbarry, for sponsoring the ice cream and wafers. We raised €320 for Down Syndrome Ireland. Thank you

Hard luck to both our boys and girls teams who lost their schools finals this evening in Ballyleague. They played some wonderful football and gave it their absolute all. We are so proud of all of you. Here are some photos from this evening.

Well done to Whitehall’s representatives on the St. Barry’s u10 team that participated in exhibition games at half time of the minor Connacht final on Friday evening in Dr. Hyde Park. The boys played some excellent football in these games. It was a special occasion for them and it is something they will always remember.

There was great excitement in school last Wednesday when our boys and girls Gaelic teams were successful in their semi finals. They will now play in the finals in June. The younger boys and girls welcomed home both teams after their victories. Huge congratulations to both teams. We are so proud of you!
